10) RCAHMS Argyll Vol 4, No 6 (207). Graveslab with effigy of man in armour. On his left arm is a shield bearing a galley with a furled sail and a pennon. RCAHMS dates to c. 1350-1400. Compare with No 208 below and another such slab at Killean, Kintyre. For inscription see Steer & Bannerman No 12. See also Lhuyd pl. xx b; Drummond, Monuments, pl. xl.

11) RCAHMS Argyll Vol 4, No 6 (208). Graveslab with effigy of man in armour. On his left arm is a shield bearing a galley with a furled sail. Compare with No 207 above and another such slab at Killean, Kintyre. See also Steer & Bannerman pp 26-7; Pennant, Tour (1772), 1, pl. xxiv, 3; Drummond, Monuments, pl. xxxix.

12) RCAHMS Argyll Vol 4, No 6 (214). Cross-shaft dated 1489. Galley with no yard or sail but mast shows hun-bora. Banner at prow shows a cross on a stepped plinth. It is noticeable that the stern-rudder extends below the line of the keel. This feature also occurs on the seal of Angus Mor of Islay dated 1292. (See British Library – Detached Seal XLVII – 1145).
