2) RCAHMS Argyll Vol 1, No 280 (8). Foot of a tapered slab. Galley with furled sail. See also White, Kintyre, pl. xxiii, 2, bottom; Drummond, Monuments, pl. lxxix, 2. RCAHMS dates this to 15th century. (Unusually, this galley is set sideways on the slab). Graham, Carved Stones of Islay p 68 compares this stone with one at Nereabolls, Islay. The galley has a banner at the stern, two shields and a crewman.
